Hot Tamales is the name of the current small group personal training class.
The classes are great for anyone who wants more personal attention while they’re training with a fun-loving group of like-minded seniors.
The sessions are 60 minutes in duration. Classes meet Monday & Wednesday at 5:30 pm and Friday at 5:00 pm (Pacific Time).
- Class participants are not muted, which allows for real-time help and guidance with the occasional laughter!
- All classes have a circuit-style format.
- Most exercises are done either standing or sitting.
- Floor exercises according to participants’ abilities.
- All exercise routines are designed to be age-appropriate, to increase muscle strength, esp. the core for better balance, improved posture and flexibility.

Memberships must be approved by the instructor, Joy Fletcher. Participants can choose to join either 1, 2, or 3 classes per week. Memberships for Hot Tamales renew either for 6 or 12 months. Equipment Needed: A set of TheraBands, a 9-inch small pilates ball, and a yoga block. Walking poles are occasionally used but are not mandatory. (TheraBands & pilates ball are furnished.)
